Manchester United Football Club started life as Newton Heath, a team founded by workers from the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway in 1878. This is where this program starts, recounting the history of Manchester United. Honors soon followed and the first of seven First Division titles was won in 1908. With an FA Cup win the following year, and another league title two years later, Manchester United were firmly establishing themselves as a force in English football. The history continues; Old Trafford was bombed during the WWII and we witness the painful rebuilding process before moving into an era of great success and tragedy under the inspirational management of Sir Matt Busby. He was the first manager to lead an English club into Europe before the Munich plane crash prematurely robbed football of his brilliant 'Busby Babes'. But Busby and Manchester United were not to let this tragedy defeat them as Busby created another brilliant team starring Charlton, Best and Law that was to shine in England and go on to win the European Cup. In the years after Busby's resignation, FA Cups followed at regular intervals but the League Championship continued to elude United until Sir Alex Ferguson built the team of the nineties that have gone on to win seven premiership titles over the last ten years. Built around home-grown talent and inspirational signings (such as Eric Cantona), Manchester United moved into an era of unrivalled success which culminated in the remarkable treble of 1999. But Manchester United's history does not stop there. Further championships followed in both 2000 and 2001 and this program finishes at a time when Ferguson, through the signings of Ruud van Nistelrooy, Juan Sebastian Veron and Rio Ferdinand is building another team worthy of success at home and in Europe.

On 7th June 2008 the 13th UEFA European Championships kicked off amidst a huge fanfare. The tournament's first game took place in Basel and saw joint hosts Switzerland take on the Czech Republic in an action packed game that set the scene for a magical month of football. The group stages that followed provided some unforgettable action with teams like Portugal, Holland and Spain setting the pace and showing the rest of Europe how free scoring football should be played. The slogan of the tournament; 'Expect Emotions' certainly delivered on its promise with game after game of non-stop action and breathtaking goals. Who can forget Croatia's heart-breaking defeat by Turkey in the quarter-final penalty shoot-out or Turkey's last minute exit at the hands of Germany following their brave campaign? Russia's excellent performances surprised and impressed many culminating in an awesome display that left Holland's European dreams in tatters. As the tournament reached a clamax on Sunday 29th June, two teams were left to battle it out at the Ernst Happel Stadium in Vienna for the biggest prize in European football. Germany, perhaps not a surprising finalist, and Spain, reaching this stage for the first time in over 20 years. A fantastic match followed filled with passion and drama with both teams struggling to gain dominance, perhaps fittingly for such a final it was decided by a sublime strike from Fernado Torres, who gave Spain their second European Championships and their first major trophy in 44 years. No football fan should miss this DVD and the opportunity to relive all the action, drama and goals from a simply unforgettable football tournament!

SAF celebrated his 50 yrs in football with a wonderful victory against Stoke City. Manchester United made a few changes to their regular starting line as Rooney , Ferdinand and Neville were rested giving chance to Evans and O'Shea. Tevez also got a chance in the starting line up.
Cristiano Ronaldo started it early on in the game scoring one of his trademark freekicks and bringing up his 100 goal for Manchester United. Carrick doubled the lead late in the second half and Berbatov got in the score sheet soon after the second half started. 3-0 up it was a time to
introduce the youngsters. Danny Welbeck , Gibson and Manucho were introduced. It was like the Manchester United of the future with Evans at central of defence , Gibson in midfield and Welbeck and Manucho up front.
Danny Welbeck scored a wonderful goal and Manchester United 4th. It was like training ground stuff the way Manchester united dominated. Ronaldo scored another freekick making it 5-0.

Liverpool in the past havent much well at Reebok Stadium. In the previous 5 visits at the Reebok they have only been able to win 1 game. But in the first half it was complete domination by Liverpool. Bolton were defending deep and Liverpool had most of the possession which resulted in Dirk Kuyt goal soon in the first half. Minute later Robbie Keane could have doubled liverpool's lead with a great oppurtunity but missed to do so. The Refree was at the heat of the action when he disallowed Gary Cahill's goal from Bolton Wanderer's first corner of the match late in first half for blocking the goalkeeper.
The second half was totally opposite of the first. Gary Megson made a switch and introduced Gardner in the beginning of the second half. Gardener missed a great chance to equalize when he was one on one with the goalkepper but slipped. Liverpool also missed a great chance when Gerrard missed a tap in created by Torres who came on for Keane in the second half. Thoughts of the missed chances against Spurs would have been coming to the mind of Liverpool fans but a victory was secured when Gerrard scored from a beautiful header. Both teams missed further chances as Gardener hiting over the goalkeeper and Torres hitting the post. No more goals in the game.
