South Africans have loomed large in the Bangalore Royal Challengers’ 5-wicket win over the Mumbai Indians in an Indian Premier League match in Mumbai.

Match was delayed as there was lots of firecrackers debris on the ground after the opening cermony. Mukesh Ambani (Owner of the team) presented caps to his players. Sachin Tendulakar was not fit so he was not able to play the opening match and so no IPL debut for him till now and we don't if he will be fit for next match. We hope he will be fit to blast the balls.

Match started fast but Kohli took a Superb catch of Luke Ronchi(wk) b Z Khan for 8 runs. As the match progressed Dominic Thornley was hit a fast ball from Zaher Khan, which went through this helmat grill and cut his forehead. It was pretty near to his right eyes. Play was stoped as he lost lots of blood on the field. He was taken out of the field for medical treatment. He came back later with bandage. He is fine now. He was using ice cube to cool. Hope we can see him play rest of the matches too.

Royal Challengers had a grip on the game and there where bowling very good and fileding was too good. Sanath Jayasuriya was runout by Zaher Khan superbly. Jayasuriya was no rule before that, he hit 19 runs in the first over of Jacques Kallis. He was out for 29 (16 balls, 4's - 5, 6's - 1, SR - 181.25).

Robin Uthappa then played a cool and invotive game and he was out for 48 of 38 balls when he tried to scoup the ball to four over the head of keeper. He was stamped by M Boucher, b B Akhil.

Shaun Pollock came and was in a blissing form and hit 3 - 4's and 2 - 6's. he made 28 of just 12 balls and was out on the last ball of Zaheer Khan. Mumbai Indian posted 165 for six wickets in 20 overs. Zaheer Khan took 2 wickets for 17 runs and Eco. Rate was 4.25.

Bangalore Royal Challengers was differnt time time, both the openers Dravid and Chanderpaul (Jaffer was not playing) scroed 37 in just five overs and the captain was also involved in a 31-run stand with New Zealander Ross Taylor (23, 12 balls1x4, 2x6s) for the second wicket to build on the good work.

Kallis also batted well for his 25 and Kohli chipped in with a 14-ball 23 (3x4s, 1x6) before Boucher smashed four boundaries and two sixes and was involved in a crucial 55-run partnership for the fifth wicket with compatriot Jacques Kallis (25, 24 balls, 1x6) to script a thrilling win at a fully packed and noisy Wankhede Stadium.
