Super Kings smash 15 off final over to secure win

Manpreet Gony helped see the Chennai Super Kings claim a dramatic four-wicket win over the Delhi Daredevils in the Indian Premier League.

Needing 15 off the final over chasing a victory target of 188, Gony hammered Shoaib Malik for six off the first ball.

A wide and an edged four followed, before Manoj Tiwary lifted the last delivery over the infield for the victory.

Vidyut Sivaramakrishnan (40 off 22 balls), Stephen Fleming (44 off 28), Mahendra Singh Dhoni (33 off 33) and Albie Morkel (31 off 15) had laid the platform for the Super Kings before the late drama.

Pradeep Sangwan took 2-29 for Delhi with Yo Manesh also picking up two wickets.

Earlier Shikhar Dhawan and Gautam Gambhir had shared a century stand as the Daredevils posted 187-5 from their 20 overs.

Gambhir, the tournament's highest scorer, continued his impressive form with 80 from 49 balls before a tight run out saw the partnership with Dhawan ended at 121.

Dhawan went on to make 59 from 46 deliveries, while opener Virender Sehwag had begun with 23 off 18 balls.

Morkel and Lakshmipathy Balaji both picked up 2-35.
